C-MAP Plan2Nav App Reviews

I have a competitors app on my iPad and a competitors software in my actual chart plotter. This app cost me nearly $50 (same price as the comp app) however has very little functionality compared to the others. The basic use is there however if you want something less "clumsy" with some friendlier features, Id strongly advise doing your homework before investing here... Not an app I trust in tight or shallow waters - at least not at this juncture; repairs to boats are too expensive.

The new c-map charts are excellent, at least for SE Asia, way better than previous c-map and even the major competition. But the chart manager is unbelievably awful. Really limited functionality; and, get this, the position icon and track show you at different positions. Which do your pick?

Navionics has temporary dropped Japanese charts by requests from Japanese Coast Guard. So that this app, which uses CMAP, is the only choice for Japanese users. This app has better screen design and visibility than Navionics and iNavX and very simple. It doesnt support external NMEA input as same as Navionics, but can be viewer of Standard Horizons chart plotter.

メーカーに問い合わせていたところ、この様な回答がありました。 Please uninstall the Plan2Nav app, clearing the cashe and memory, then install a new version of Plan2Nav from iTunes and then use the restore chart feature. やはり更新版に問題があった様ですので、新しいチャートが配信されるのを待つしかない様です。

Number of depth indications are more the other charts. You can see some weather data nereby your location ie. wind force and directions.

After restore content in app crashed, content not restored. iPad mini 2 ios7.0.4

It is impossible to restore earlier bought content!!!

Every version has initial problem with chat restoring. What for I have paid if I cannot use it? New version of Plan 2Navy doesnt have ability to restore the bought chat. Not possible to find the button of restore!!!

A company with great electronics and access to data knowns this is not a great attempt to bring a solid app to market. If the UI was outsourced, request a refund.

Freezes up. Cant fill in an email address, etc... Not even worth it if it were free! It should still be in developement! Buy something else until some day they get it right...

Very disappointing. It is not user friendly. Hard to read.unable to get any support or refund. Now it is asking me to pay again. Waste of money.

What a piece of crap, I downloaded it and it wont even initialize. Wasted ten minutes of my life!

So i dl the local map for 19.99. After 100 percent the dl keeps going then crashes the software at 130 percent. Went to the jeppesen site and they do not even have this app listed for support. On top of that it appears that then sf bay area info is to in the map I bought but before I purchased it looked like it was part of the area covered. Not happy. I sent a support request to jeppesen, if they respond Ill update this review. So far not good.

Ill echo the review above. This app is not worth loading to your IPAD. It would be powerful with the associated maps. I purchased the RIVERS versions. They simply dont work. The features youd expect arent apparent. The navigation is very clucky. I have the Navionics App for my IPAD. It works very well. Its a one step, simple load. Compare first before you buy this

Downloaded free app and bought west coast map. Too complex for no instructions or help tools. I can only hope Jep continues development and provides updates. At least it is a chart viewer.

Sorry Jeppesen, I could trust your aviation charts but I do not like to go sailing with your marine charts. You have lots of work to do to come even close to NAVIONICS Charts. I would like my money back. Very poor interface and lots of errors. Jeppesen I suggest you change the maps source and hire better programmers. I am surprised that Jeppesen put a Trademark on such poorly developed product. J.T.

I just downloaded the latest update and tried to purchase a chart to get detail in the Bahamas. Crash. Ten times tried to restart.... Crash x 10. Crashes as early as the initialization screen but always at first user manipulation of screen or menu bar. I am using iPad 1 with 64g and sim card.
