Crash!

I just downloaded the latest update and tried to purchase a chart to get detail in the Bahamas. Crash. Ten times tried to restart.... Crash x 10. Crashes as early as the initialization screen but always at first user manipulation of screen or menu bar. I am using iPad 1 with 64g and sim card.
